NBA Playoffs Round 1: Milwaukee Bucks Power Through Toronto Raptors 97-83

NBA Playoffs Round 1: Milwaukee Bucks Power Through Toronto Raptors 97-83

Casey elaborated more on the hottest topic in the National Basketball Association, at least for Tuesday morning.

On the Raptors side, Serge Ibaka had a monstrous game scoring 19 points along with 14 rebounds.

The Spurs blew it open with a 19-0 run over the third and fourth quarters, shutting out Grizzlies guard Mike Conley in the second half.

Also, the host team Raptors fans and the people of Toronto can watch this Game 2 on TNT and Listen to TSN RADIO 1050 TORONTO. Behind 23 points by DeMar DeRozan and a bounce-back 22-point night from Lowry, the Raptors evened the series 1-1 as it heads to Milwaukee.

It's only one game, but this series should already have Raptors fans (sorry Drake) feeling a terrible sense of deja vu. Khris Middleton can and will shoot better, the Bucks can get to the free-throw line more often, and as insane as it may sound, Giannis can have bigger games.

It's a big step for the young scoring threat.

The win in Game 1 was thanks to a strong defensive showing by the Bucks in the second half. Throughout the regular season, the Raptors offence wavered between "historically good" and "solidly top-10". "He didn't force things, he let the game come to him".

He led the Bucks in all five of those statistical categories, emerging as the leader of a young franchise that grabbed the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference despite coping with injuries to Khris Middleton and Jabari Parker during the season. He also snagged 8 boards and had 3 assists. Brogdon is coming off a phenomenal rookie season. "He's trying to get back as quick as he can", coach Quin Snyder said.

Damian Lillard Predicts Major UPSET vs Warriors in NBA Playoffs
Somehow, the Warriors' 67-win season felt underwhelming coming off last year's National Basketball Association record 73 wins. Health may be the biggest factor for the Trail Blazers if they're to make a run at a career-defining upset this year.

Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Preview
Champ Car (2004), IRL (2008) and finally Indy Car (2011) followed with 2017 being the 34 Indy car race at Long Beach. The feature event is the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach Verizon IndyCar , which takes place early Sunday afternoon.

Guarding Bucks' Giannis presents Raptors a playoff puzzle
His defensive effort also helped keep all-star Kyle Lowry to just 4 points. "It happened to me before against Memphis . Instead of battling for the win in the dying minutes, the team was shuffling in its reserves in blowout garbage time.

One clear solution to getting the Raptors offence back on track, according to former Raptors point guard Alvin Williams, would be to utilize centre Jonas Valanciunas more.

Game 2 is Tuesday in Toronto. Chyna Thomas, 22, died in a vehicle accident early Saturday, casting doubt on whether Thomas would ultimate play in the opener. Rondo's night ended with 11 points and 14 assists on a night when all five Bulls starters reached double figures. "I thought Moose (Greg Monroe) did a great job on the pick-and-roll, knowing they were going to put him in the pick-and-roll and he was up for it (Saturday)". In the second half, four costumed cows jumped up and down behind Utah's basket, trying to distract free-throw shooters as part of a chicken sandwich promotion. Had they played Monday, he believes he'd likely have to sit. "It's never ideal. But we've got to bounce back and understand we make it hard on ourselves.to come back and fight back even harder".

KEEP AN EYE ON: The rebounding battle. The over/under total for the game is listed at 193 points.

There's a concern here for Toronto, a 28-13 team at home this season.

Both teams had historic years last year. Antetokounmpo, the Greek Freak, who troubled the Raps endlessly on Saturday by racing out in transition, was held to two points in the first quarter on 1-of-6 shooting.

NEED TO KNOW: The Jazz gained home-court advantage by winning their first playoff game since 2010 on Joe Johnson's floater at the buzzer. It was their third victory in 21 games against the Clippers.

Utah needed all it could get from the 15-year vet after losing Rudy Gobert during the first play of the game. Antetokounmpo brings excitement - a six-foot-11, 222-pound athletic splinter of a man who can do it all. Not only did Milwaukee pull off the 97-83 win, they did so by absolutely smothering Toronto in the second half.
