Curry's 30 lead Warriors to sweep after 121-95 win over Jazz

Curry's 30 lead Warriors to sweep after 121-95 win over Jazz

Against the Indiana Pacers and Toronto Raptors, Cleveland has won by an average of 8.3 points.

The Jazz never led Monday and in three of the four games against the Warriors.

As they have so often in these playoffs and in this series, Golden State got off to a blazing hot start, taking a 39-17 lead after just the first quarter.

But Utah responded with a 14-2 flurry to start the second quarter, slicing through a now too relaxed Warriors defense as a sluggish David West failed to protect the rim. "Where can I help the most?"

The Warriors will now wait for their opponent in the Western Conference Finals, either the San Antonio Spurs or the Houston Rockets.

The Warriors shot 51.2 percent from the field and 42.3 percent from the field. They assisted on 28 of 43 converted buckets, and out-rebounded the Jazz 50-42.

Game 4's fourth quarter - despite a revolving door substitution pattern by Mike Brown - provided a flawless example of the Warriors' team-wide commitment to the defensive end. One of those instances came in Game 3, and on that night, all seven turnovers were committed in the first half.

The only Jazzman to play in every game this season, he averaged 7.1 points per game and shot 44.1 percent from long range - a level of growth in his game that surprised even Ingles.

Durant wasn't almost as productive as Game 4, when he popped 38 points, but his 18 points in this one were pretty timely.

They never played three straight like the Warriors and Cavs are about to. The momentum was the Warriors', and it would not be relinquished. Furthermore, the Rockets shattered the National Basketball Association record for three point attempts and makes in a season this year.

How to Watch the 2017 Kentucky Derby
This may be the toughest Kentucky Derby to predict in years based on the betting lines at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark. An amendment in 2000 allowed wagers online and by phone, though those are still restricted or banned in 10 states.

"They might want to go and get a huge paycheck in another market", said Adam Stoker, owner of Provo-based advertising company, Relic.

"We have imposed our will all eight games".

Jazz: Utah scored more than 17 first-quarter points just once in the series. However, he did at least manage to lock up Gordon Hayward and hold him to his worst offensive night of the playoffs (barring his nine minutes in Game 4 against the Clippers). But all series, Thompson and Durant showed off newfound physicality to their defense. He led the Warriors in scoring in both Game 2 and Game 3.

After a Shelvin Mack trey cut the margin to seven points with four minutes left in the third quarter, a timeout was called, and Curry uncharacteristically kicked one of the chairs on the bench out of a frustration. But Green said before the game that the Jazz wouldn't just roll over and quit, and he was right. "I made a lot of strides over these three years in developing my game and getting more and more confident".

All of that made for a wildly successful season for the young Utah Jazz, whose prosperity was fueled often by All-Star forward Gordon Hayward and veteran point guard George Hill.

Exum has only played sparingly in the Playoffs so far, falling out of the rotation.

Neither team has lost a single game so far in the playoffs and the anticipation for their rubber match is ready to boil over among those who follow the pro game closely.

And then there's LeBron James, likely waiting in the finals.

A pair of buckets by Kevin Durant (18 points, six rebounds and five assists) ended the run. The Warriors won 121-95. Shut down one component of Golden State's offense and another component instantly kicks into overdrive.
