Ronaldo could take Madrid to brink of title in Celta Vigo

With Real's last opponent in La Liga, Malaga, suggesting they will be resting their regulars in the last game of the season, the game against Celta represents the last test that Zidane and his men will face on the domestic front.

Madrid plays at mid-table Malaga on Sunday, while Barcelona finishes its season against eighth-place Eibar on the same day. Madrid will play Juventus in the Champions League final on June 3.

Zidane said of the strike: "It's not that it didn't surprise us, these things can happen". We are going there to win the game, that is always the objective of this team.

Neymar was the standout performer with three goals, but Marlon Santos display was also worthy to watch. He was rested in the team's following four away matches in the league.

The former Sporting Lisbon player has won LaLiga once, the Champions League twice and the Copa del Rey twice at Madrid, while he finally tasted worldwide success with Portugal at Euro 2016.

Granada meanwhile brought in a hotch-potch of footballers on loan deals and despite having more talent than other sides in the league, have never looked anything more than a chaotic assembly of players who (literally in this case) did not speak the same language. They should otherwise have a full-strength team available.

Celta, with nothing left to play for, improved after conceding the first goal and started to threaten, with Aspas creating a series of chances. Yet Zidane's side have a game in hand over their rivals.

Even more significant, however, is that this marks the search giant branching out from its standard Android Auto offering. It is the world's most popular operating system for mobile phones, and it could soon become an inbuilt feature in cars.

The match at Balaidos was originally scheduled for February but had to be postponed after strong winds damaged the stadium.

Cristiano Ronaldo has taken Real Madrid to the verge of its first Spanish league title in five years.

Yet, just as the hosts' nerves were becoming frayed, Ronaldo appeared once more by crashing home Toni Kroos' cut-back to restore Real's two-goal lead.

Thanks to Zidane's constant rotation and a new role as a centre-forward, Ronaldo seems fully fit as the season reaches its decisive stages.

Cristiano Ronaldo set yet another goals landmark as Real Madrid stayed on course for LaLiga title glory with a 4-1 victory over Sevilla at the Bernabeu.
