Whew! Raptors blow 25-point lead, but beat Bucks 92-89

The Raptors did it too on Thursday night.

Now it's on to Cleveland, a year after losing to the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference finals in six games.

It's frighteningly easy to imagine Antetokounmpo, a year or two from now, stepping into the same look he had against Lowry and burying it to win a playoff game.

In the past this might have unsettled the Raptors but these are not the Raptors who cower at the sight of an early deficit anymore.

Powell scored 12 points on 3-of-3 shooting from beyond the arc as he allowed the Raptors to space the floor out more than they did with Valanciunus on the court.

But the angst was just beginning. It seems insane that Powell didn't play in game one or two and only garbage time in game three. The ball wasn't just sticking. That faded into the final minutes.

The Raptors eventually eked out the victory, but it's hard to feel that great about it. From that point, Toronto went on a 9-0 run to reclaim the momentum they had lost. "We just brought it in (for a huddle) after the game".

Their next opponent is a team that the Raptors are familiar with. DeMar DeRozan led the team with 32 points and five steals. "And the whole building is against you on the road".

Rangers Vs. Senators: Game 2 Open Thread
They're now 4-0 when allowing the first goal, rallying from behind twice against Boston and now twice against the Rangers. Game 2 ended in a barnburner after Jean-Gabriel Pageau's four-goal evening ended with the double overtime victor .

No regrets for Guardiola amid Mancester City struggles
There wasn't too long left, but those six minutes felt a long time to see out, but we managed to do that. "No wonder the hype around each meeting grows greater than the last.

James helps Cavs hold off Pacers, earn sweep into 2nd round
He was predictably the standout performer of the series as well, putting up 32.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 9.0 assists per contest. Channing (Frye ), Shump (Iman Shumpert), D-Will (Deron Williams ), Kyle (Korver), those guys came in and gave us huge minutes.

Somehow amongst all those voices the message got through and a semblance of calm returned.

The Toronto Raptors have been one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference over the past four seasons. Their advantage was once as many as 25 points.

The overall team stats in this one were pretty well even up and down the stat sheet. "We make it hard on ourselves sometimes, but at the end of the day we're going to go down swinging".

The Toronto Raptors defeated the Bucks 92-89 Thursday night, eliminating Milwaukee from the playoffs.

Fatigue certainly hindered the Bucks' free throw abilities, as multiple shots barely struck front iron. Giannis played 47 minutes, Middleton, 42, and both were visibly exhausted, seen hunched-over between plays gasping for air. In Game 5, Raptors fans were chanting "Raptors in 6", as they beat the Bucks, 110-93. Toronto sent Terrence Ross to Orlando in exchange for Serge Ibaka, while also trading Jared Sullinger to Phoenix in exchange for P.J. Tucker. But who is to say they will get a third chance to take out LeBron James? Still, the Bucks weren't backing down. Coming into Game 6, the biggest take from the series was the change that pushed Toronto to the brink the next round and what Jason Kidd's countermeasure would be.

"We knew they weren't going to give up", DeRozan said. On that possession (that Patterson ended with a thunderous dunk) that is exactly what we did.

They survived partly because Milwaukee missed nine free throws in the second half.

"We never put our heads down", Antetokounmpo said. They kept the ball moving, they rebounded the ball well, and they utilized the pick and roll. Still, he was the next highest-scoring Raptor after DeMar and Kyle. "He's had the same core guys and this is what happens; not have a letdown like we did the year before". "Build on that and just carry that into Cleveland". Milwaukee shot 50 percent from the line in the fourth quarter, going 9-of-18.
