Lady Blazer volleyball team's playoff run falls short

After a loss to Eastfield College in straight sets (25-17, 25 -16, 25-11) in the 2nd round of the NJCAA Division 3 Region 5 playoff tournament, the North Lake Lady Blazers volleyball season has come to an end.

"I think we finished strong," said Head Coach Cathy Carter. "The season could have gone better in its self, but I think in the championship game and the tournament they showcased what they learned throughout the season."
The Lady Blazers finished conference 6-6 and finished the year with an 11- Freshman Stephanie Morado led the team with 526 assists and was third with 220 digs
Freshman Teleza Collier led the team in 209 and was second with 64 blocks
Sophomore Raegan Pogue was second

Freshman Maddison Mathers was third in blocks with 146, second in assists with 110 and fifth in digs and blocks with 195 and 22 respectively.
Freshman Taylor McCoy was second in digs with 231 and fourth in kills and blocks with 101 and 29.
Sophomore Tarann ​​Riley was fourth in digs with 207 and fifth with 89 kills. Ta'dreiona Brown leads the team in blocks with 72 and was sixth in kills with 84.
At the End of every year, the coaches from each team in each region vote on players that they think stood out from the rest of the players to be put on All-Region teams. Got second team and Morado, Mathers, and Flores got honorable mentions.
The Lady Blazers are poised to have a strong season next year with seven returning players.
Carter is excited to see what this team will be able to do Next year and is ready to compete for a national title.
